Cato Networks, provider of the world’s leading single-vendor SASE platform, today announces that Senior Director of Security Strategy, Etay Maor, and Director of Product Marketing, Greg Duffy, will be speaking at the upcoming Tech Show London, within its Cloud Expo Europe and DevOps Live co-located events.
Taking place on the 6th – 7th of March at the ExCel, the event is one of the largest gatherings of cybersecurity and technology professionals in the country, attracting nearly 15,000 visitors. On the first day, Maor will speak on the Cloud Expo Europe Keynote Theatre stage to discuss the urgent issue of AI in Cybersecurity.
The presentation will feature fresh insights on the dual role of AI, including how defenders can use it to bolster security measures, and how attackers are able to leverage it to identify weaknesses in infrastructure and design. With the NCSC just last month publishing an assessment outlining how AI could increase the volume and heighten the impact of cyber attacks over the next two years, Maor’s talk comes at a pivotal moment for the industry, and will offer valuable guidance to companies looking to understand more about the opportunities and risks AI brings.
“A wave of AI-based attacks are not imminent, despite the hype surrounding technologies like ChatGPT. Limitations such as ‘hallucinations’ and model constraints, along with the maturity level of large language models (LLMs), render this threat minimal for now,” says Maor. “However, we anticipate the use of LLMs to enhance specific elements of attacks, like facilitating email creation or aiding social engineering through profile and document generation. While AI won’t replace human intelligence, those who are able to leverage AI will surpass those who don’t.”
Key areas covered in the talk include:
- Defensive AI Strategies – AI models employed by defenders to detect and thwart cyber attacks.
- Beyond ChatGPT – While ChatGPT has been in the limelight, discover the diverse ways threat actors are utilizing AI beyond mere conversational agents.
- Targeting LLM Models – Insights into the different methodologies employed by attackers to exploit Large Language Models and compromise AI systems.
Delivering Networking and Security in the Cloud
In the DevSecOps Theatre on the 7th of March, Duffy will outline how companies can deliver networking and security for cloud with SASE, and provide important tips for collaboration, strategy and vendor selection’ session.
“SASE is the cornerstone for modern digital business architecture. Successful SASE projects require seamless collaboration between network and security teams and the convergence of these teams is essential. Understanding how SASE facilitates this convergence is key to the broader team’s success,” says Duffy.
The key takeaways from this session will be:
- How to deliver the networking and security you need for the cloud, using SASE.
- How to collaborate successfully on a strategy for SASE.
- Tips for SASE platform evaluation to help drive an effective vendor selection process.
The Cato SASE Cloud is the first to bring a consumer-like simplicity to SASE deployment and management. It stands out as the pioneer in streamlining security functions by recently introducing Cato XDR, the world’s first SASE-based Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution.
Etay Maor’s talk will take place at Cloud Expo Europe Keynote Theatre on March 6 at 12:45.
Greg Duffy will be presenting at the DevSecOPs Theatre on March 7 at 10:40.
